‘Second Kind’ is the sonic interpretation of what we might imagine other intelligent lifeforms might sound like, if we were to one day come in contact with them. This track is a glimpse into what that moment might look like. As humans, it is in our nature to want to find similarities and commonalities amongst those who we consider to be ‘other’. It’s natural for us to try and derive meaning from what is unknown. The samples used in this song have been chopped in such a way that they could be mistaken for a speaking voice, however it is impossible to decipher exactly what is being said.
